Streamline your workflow with better Data Sharing
Autodesk Data Exchange helps multidisciplinary teams share the 3D model elements and properties they need across AEC tools—without sending full models. Each shared exchange stays connected to its source model. Updates can be pushed automatically or manually so teams can work with the latest information as the design changes, instead of sending the whole model or exporting files over and over. Data Exchange keeps design data connected to a single source of truth, and helps streamline coordination, improve documentation workflows, and simplify drawing creation.

Connect Revit to Other AEC tools
Data Exchanges are stored in the cloud in Forma Data Management*, so you can create and access exchanges in a browser or with an ecosystem of our connectors.
- Use a variety of app connectors to create and use exchanges with Autodesk and non-Autodesk tools, such as Power BI, Navisworks, Inventor, Civil 3D, Rhino, Tekla Structures, Archicad, Dynamo (beta), AutoCAD (beta), SolidWorks (beta), and Power Automate (beta).
- Use cloud connectors to create exchanges directly from files in Forma Data Management.
Could not find a connector for a tool you need? Submit your idea on our public roadmap.
*To use and create exchanges, you need a Forma Data Management subscription (formerly ACC).
Enable documentation and coordination across multiple applications
Use Data Exchanges directly in Revit sheets, plans, and schedules. Annotate exchanged elements and control what is visible to create the documentation you need.
Powering Data-Driven Decisions with BI Integration
The Data Exchange Connector for Revit goes beyond design tools—it also allows you to share Revit data with business intelligence platforms like Power BI. This unlocks powerful new workflows for tasks like Design QA/QC, giving you the ability to analyze, visualize, and act on your design data.
