Project Parameters make life easier when building projects from a template.

One downside of these parameters is they do not communicate information in more complex families that have nested families inside of them, from the host family to those nested families.

This is because no parameter association exists at the family level.

In the past to carry information to these elements, you had to tab select over the host element, to the nested elements and enter it into each nested, or you would run a dynamo or similar script to push the values from host to nested.
