Mini Tool Add-in for Autodesk® Inventor® is a lightweight, multi-function productivity tool designed for design engineers and CAD managers.

FEATURES

OPEN CAD

Instantly opens the corresponding CAD drawing file (.dwg or custom extension) for the active Inventor part or assembly. Supports multiple search folders and an optional revision suffix in file names.

BOM FORMAT

Applies a predefined BOM customization layout from a user-defined XML file to the active assembly or drawing. Works with both Assembly and Drawing documents.

NAME UPDATE

Automatically updates the display names of parts and all occurrences in an assembly to match their file names. Supports recursive updates through nested subassemblies.

SAVE IDW

Saves the current drawing file (.idw) directly to the same folder as the referenced model file, eliminating the need to manually navigate to the correct save location.

CHECK REFERENCE

Scans the active assembly for all occurrences where the BOM Structure is set to Reference. Exports the results to a text file for easy review. Supports a user-defined exclusion list to filter known
reference components.

TRIAL VERSION

Are there any known issues with this product?

Save IDW requires at least one drawing view to be placed on the active sheet. If no drawing views exist, the function displays a warning message.
Name Update on very large assemblies (500+ components) may take several seconds to complete. This is expected behavior due to the recursive traversal of all subassemblies.

Copy the Hardware ID displayed in the dialog.
