The Fast Insert application allows users to insert recent or active documents into an assembly, derive parts from a selected document, or create a new view in a drawing. Users can also open documents, copy them, or open file locations.

• In the assembly environment, it inserts the selected document as a component occurrence.
• In the part environment, it inserts the selected document as a derived component.
• In the drawing environment, it adds a base view of the selected document.
• It provides options to open the selected recent document, copy it, or open its file location.
