Application Description – B2E

B2E is a professional productivity add-in for Autodesk® AutoCAD® designed to help engineers, detailers, and drafters efficiently convert reinforcement bar schedules from drawings into Microsoft Excel files with high accuracy and clarity.

In many structural projects, reinforcement schedules are created directly in AutoCAD and include not only numerical data but also drawn steel shapes. Manually retyping this information into Excel is time-consuming and prone to errors. B2E solves this problem by allowing users to export reinforcement bar tables directly from AutoCAD to Excel while preserving both the tabular data and the steel bar drawings.

B2E is not limited to a specific table format. It supports:

• Reinforcement bar schedules with drawn steel shapes
• Custom and user-defined tables in AutoCAD
• Full Unicode compatibility, ensuring correct handling of international languages and special characters

The workflow is straightforward and efficient. Users simply run the B2E command, select a single reinforcement table, choose a sample steel drawing line to define the rebar style, and complete the command. B2E then automatically generates an Excel file that contains well-structured data along with corresponding steel illustrations, making the result easy to review, check, and reuse.

For very long schedules, minor alignment adjustments may be needed to perfectly match drawings with table grid lines, providing flexibility for complex real-world drawings.
