3DMport is an Autodesk® Revit® Addin that provides advanced capability to import Rhino® 3DM files to Revit Families and documents for Revit 2022 and later. The out-of-the-box built-in Revit import feature only allows the user to import 3dm files as basic non-editable 3D Shapes with limited BIM features. Many other existing converters are Rhino based and require operations in both Rhino and Revit applications in order to complete the conversion. These limitations impede users from effectively converting Rhino assets to Revit Families in their day-to-day workflow progressing from design phases to documentation phases.

3DMport bridges this gap by providing a lightweight, Revit-based application that directly imports an existing Rhino .3dm file, converts it to a Revit .rfa Family file, and loads it into the active Revit document without any need to operate in Rhino.
