Wall Catalog by BKJ Automation is a comprehensive wall assembly library and management tool for Autodesk® Revit®. What else should I know about this product?

System Requirements:

- Internet connection required on first use per Revit session for subscription validation; the result is cached for the remainder of the session

Worksharing / BIM 360 / Revit Cloud:

The plugin is fully compatible with workshared (multi-user) Revit models. When adding a wall type to a workshared project, the plugin automatically creates a dedicated BKJ_Walls workset and assigns the sample wall to it. Cloud models (BIM 360 / ACC) are supported; the workset creation step is skipped if worksharing cannot be enabled.

Units:

All internal calculations use Revit's native decimal-foot units. Thickness and R-value displays are formatted to standard imperial fractions (e.g., 5 1/2") automatically.

Licensing:

Wall Catalog is sold as a per-seat annual subscription through the Autodesk App Store. An active Autodesk account is required. The subscription is verified once per Revit session; subsequent button clicks within the same session use a cached result. Users on restricted networks (corporate firewalls, VPNs) will be granted access if the verification server cannot be reached, so paying customers are never hard-blocked.

Are there any known issues with this product?

- In workshared cloud models (BIM 360 / ACC), the automatic workset creation step is skipped. The wall type is still created and placed correctly; it will be assigned to the active workset instead of BKJ_Walls.

- The ASHRAE 90.1 compliance check uses estimated R-values based on material name matching. Actual assembly R-values may differ depending on framing factors and installation quality; always verify with a full energy model for code compliance.

- On first run after installation, Revit displays a security warning asking you to confirm loading the add-in. Select "Always Load" to prevent this on future launches.

- Drafting detail views for very thin wall layers (under 1/4") may show compressed hatch patterns at small scales. Use 1 1/2" = 1'-0" or larger scale for best results.
