Cabling is a daunting task for many designers, perhaps the most tedious and time-consuming.

With 47 dedicated ribbon commands, iCable Professional is a powerful and highly efficient add-in program for Inventor to create life-like cables, wires, hoses, tubes, pipes, and their bundles directly in the Assembly Environment.

Users can CREATE and EDIT a large number of sweep cable parts easily in much less time and with high fidelity. It uses a single-level model tree structure and less computer resources, allowing hundreds of cables to run smoothly without crashing Inventor.

iCable Professional is dedicated to and particularly useful in completing your electro-mechanical design quickly for transformers and power systems, customized machinery, and electrical control systems.

iCable Professional provides all functionalities for cable modeling conveniently in the Assembly Environment, including:

1. Create an interpolated cable and bundle: Create wire, cable, and hose along a path routed by the designer in assembly, or from offset, translation, or rotation of existing ones.
2. Create adaptive cable and bundle: These have similar geometric characteristics to those found in Inventor Tube & Pipe.
3. Create adaptive array: Create multiple adaptive cables in one process, dedicated to the transformer and power system industry. It is particularly useful for creating massive transformer cables quickly.
4. Create rigid tube & pipe: Include bend radius.
5. Intuitive and highly efficient routing tools.
6. In-place cable editor and point editor.
7. Update the length of all cables: Automatically update the length of all cables if they have been modified manually.
8. Length summary report: Provide a summary length report for all cables in terms of outer diameter (OD) and color.
9. Cable report: Generate reports for all individual cables, including their length and color.
10. Able to extract data from cable library.
11. Cables carry parameters and iProperties ready for BOM and passing to ERP system. 

All generated cables are regular sweep parts. Any Inventor user can open and edit them with generic Inventor commands without the need to install iCable Professional.

iCable Professional works with imperial unit (in) and metric unit (mm), and supports Inventor Professional from version 2021 to 2027.
