ISO Tolerance Calculator: Precision and Efficiency for Your Autodesk® Fusion® Designs.

Tired of manually looking up and calculating tolerances in your engineering designs?

  • The ISO Tolerance Calculator add-in transforms your Fusion workflow by providing instant and accurate deviation calculations according to international standards ISO 286 (specific tolerances for holes and shafts) and ISO 2768 (general tolerances).

Key Features & Benefits:

  • Instant Results: Simply enter the nominal size and tolerance class (e.g., `25H7`, `10js6`, or `m25`) directly into the intuitive and user-friendly palette. The add-in immediately displays the upper deviation (ES/es), lower deviation (EI/ei), and mean tolerance, all converted to millimeters.
  • Comprehensive Standard Support: Full implementation of data tables and calculation logic for fundamental deviations and IT tolerances according to ISO 286-1 and ISO 286-2, as well as general tolerances per ISO 2768 (classes f, m, c, v). Also supports special tolerance zones like JS/js.
  • Enhanced Design Accuracy: Eliminate errors from manual calculations and ensure your designs meet precise tolerance requirements right from the start.
  • Accelerated Development: Save valuable time spent searching through tables and get the necessary tolerance data in real-time, directly within your design environment.
  • Intelligent Palette:
    • Automatic Startup: The palette launches automatically upon Fusion startup and the activation of the first document.
    • Remembers Position: Your palette intelligently recalls its last placed position on the screen, even after Fusion restarts, ensuring a consistent and efficient workspace.
    • Easy to Use: A clean and clear user interface minimizes the learning curve.

How to Get Started:

  1. Install the add-in from the Autodesk App Store.
  2. Launch Fusion.
  3. The palette will automatically appear once the initial document loads.
  4. Enter the desired tolerance (e.g., `50H7`, `20g6`, `12JS6`, `m30`) into the input field and see instant results.
  5. Elevate your engineering designs with the ISO Tolerance Calculator add-in – your essential partner for precise and efficient tolerance management in Fusion.

Upon initial startup of Fusion after add-in installation, the palette may not appear immediately until the first document is activated. This is due to Fusion API initialization timing. The palette will automatically display once a document is active.

Palette position saving relies on successful document saving or Fusion closure. Ensure documents are saved regularly for position recall.
