ArcGIS® GeoBIM℠ delivers a connected data environment that seamlessly links architecture, engineering, and construction (AEC) information in Autodesk Construction Cloud® with geospatial data and services in ArcGIS. This integration unifies teams and projects from design to operations with efficiency and accuracy for improved collaboration, decision-making, and optimized project outcomes. Easily build and share apps, field maps, and issue dashboards to simplify communication, mitigate risk, and keep teams coordinated with the latest information that is accessible at their fingertips. This comprehensive approach to digital delivery empowers stakeholders to put data-driven insights into action for optimized project planning, execution, and operations.

Benefits of ArcGIS GeoBIM:

  • Minimize costly model conversions: Reduce the need to continually convert your data by directly linking to BIM models, data, and documents stored on separate systems.
  • Centralize your project data: Keep your documents and data organized in the original source locations and access your GIS and BIM project content through a centralized point of entry.
  • Deliver projects with a scalable ecosystem: Save costs by efficiently configuring digital solutions that can adapt to the evolving needs of your project portfolios.
  • Collaborate on project information: Share easy-to-use, GeoBIM-enabled apps with stakeholders that enable them to understand project information and issues in geospatial context.

Latest enhancements:

  • Select relevant Autodesk project folders for ArcGIS GeoBIM workflows to benefit from faster processing, less clutter, and more control over project data.
  • Extend collaboration to the field to stay on top of site logistics, accelerate issue turnaround, and replace inefficient paper-based processes with ArcGIS Field Maps.
  • Deploy ArcGIS GeoBIM in self-hosted enterprise IT environments to meet greater security and data requirements with ArcGIS Enterprise.
  • Save time by georeferencing BIM documents (RVT, IFC, DWG™) 40% faster and issues up to 2x faster than before.
  • Access ArcGIS GeoBIM as an included app with ArcGIS user types for simplified administration without the need of managing add-on licenses.

This BIM and GIS integration requires users to have current licensing for both Autodesk Construction Cloud and Esri’s ArcGIS through user types. ArcGIS provides a comprehensive set of capabilities for creating, managing, analyzing, and mapping geographic information. Creator user types and above can view, edit, and create ArcGIS GeoBIM projects, while Contributor and Mobile Worker user types can view and edit projects.
