BIMSBIMS automates repetitive Autodesk® Revit® tasks: formwork, plastering, structural rebar, grid assignment, bulk parameter management, DWG import and sheet export.

BIMS is a productivity suite for Revit that automates the repetitive modeling, quantification and detailing work that structural and MEP teams do on every project.
WHAT IT DOES
Formwork
Generates formwork surfaces for walls, columns, beams and slabs, respecting adjacent elements so panels are never placed where they would be buried. Includes quantity takeoff by element and by area. Advanced modulation tools — catalog panel layout, pour cycles, ties and props — are included as Beta.
Plastering
Creates plastering surfaces from the model geometry, with automatic openings for doors and windows, and delivers the corresponding quantities.
Structural Rebar
Places reinforcement in beams, columns, walls, slabs, stairs and one-way joist slabs. The Automatic Rebar command recognizes what each element is, looks up the minimum reinforcement its code requires, and proposes a buildable bar layout — showing the article number behind every decision before touching the model. Includes support for NTP E.060 (Peru), ACI 318-25, ACI 318-19 and NSR-10 (Colombia).
The Verify Reinforcement command reads the bars already in the model — placed by BIMS or by anyone else — and reports the design capacity they provide, so you can check work you did not model yourself.
Rebar Schedule
Calculates how to cut the reinforcement from commercial bar stock while minimizing waste, compares 9 m against 12 m bars, and exports the cutting list to Excel.
Grids and Parameters
Assigns grid references automatically, transfers values between parameters, merges up to three parameters into one, and propagates host marks and identifiers across large selections.
Import and Export
Imports DWG blocks and solids, exports sheets to DWG with images embedded rather than linked, and prepares models for Navisworks. IFC import (Beta) brings in files from structural analysis software as editable native elements instead of frozen geometry.
Sanitary Installations
Sizes inspection chambers, calculates pipe lengths, assigns top elevations and sectors, and numbers connected fixtures.
WHY TEAMS USE IT
Every command works on multi-element selections, so what takes hours element by element takes minutes. Results are native Revit elements you can schedule, tag and edit — not imported geometry.
Reinforcement proposals are shown for review before anything is written to the model, and each one carries the code article it comes from. BIMS produces traceable proposals; a licensed structural engineer reviews and signs them.

CODES AND STANDARDS
The reinforcement module applies the minimum reinforcement, development length, splice and confinement requirements of the selected code, and reports the article number behind each value. Supported codes: NTP E.060 (Peru), ACI 318-25, ACI 318-19 and NSR-10 (Colombia). The code is a property of the project, so a project approved under one edition keeps citing that edition.
IMPORTANT NOTICE ON REINFORCEMENT
BIMS produces reinforcement proposals based on code minimum requirements. Minimum reinforcement is a regulatory floor, not a structural design. Proposals are not verified against loads unless demand data is supplied. All output requires review and sign-off by a licensed structural engineer, who remains responsible for the design.

Are there any known issues with this product?
- Advanced formwork tools (panel modulation, pour cycles, ties and props) are released as Beta. Core formwork generation is stable and in production use.
- IFC import is released as Beta. It has been validated against files produced by Revit itself; files from other authoring tools may import with reduced fidelity.
- Reinforcement proposals cover beams, columns, walls, slabs, stairs and one-way joist slabs. Foundations are recognized and classified, but the automatic command does not yet place their reinforcement.
- The reinforcement module reads the concrete strength from the value you enter, not from the model materials. This is intentional: in most real projects the material properties are template defaults rather than project values, and calculating with them would give unsafe results without warning.
- Very large selections may take several minutes. A progress window shows the status and can be cancelled at any time.
