PRevisions adds robust file revision control to Autodesk® AutoCAD®, letting users easily create timestamped backups of drawings, add version comments, and restore previous states—all from a simple command palette. Every backup is stored in a dedicated “Previous Revisions” folder next to your DWG, with optional version notes for each state.

PRevisions works entirely offline and stores all backups locally.
User interface and commands designed for rapid, production use.
Each revision is stored as a full DWG copy, with optional comments saved in a text file for traceability.
Does not alter original drawings; restored files open as read-only.

Only works with DWG files that have been saved at least once; unsaved (untitled) files cannot be backed up.
Version comments support plain text only.
On rare occasions, antivirus software may flag manual backup folder creation; this is a false positive—PRevisions only accesses local files you own.
Opening a revision does not automatically replace the current file—users must manually save over the current DWG if they wish to restore.
Currently, no batch backup or multi-file support (future versions may expand this).
