Noel AshdownSciCalc
Noel AshdownScientific calculator docked inside Fusion®. Expression editor, engineering panels (beam, spring, bolt, triangle, vector maths), live geometry values from selection, history, variables and more.
Free
SciCalc adds a fully-featured scientific calculator directly inside Autodesk® Fusion® as a docked palette — no switching windows, no copy-pasting numbers between applications.
CALCULATOR
Type expressions directly using familiar mathematical notation.
The display shows proper symbols (×, √, sin⁻¹) with colour-coded syntax highlighting. DEG, RAD, GRAD and Engineering notation modes.
SHIFT mode gives access to inverse trig, roots, factorial and more.
Full keyboard support with undo, bracket auto-close and ANS recall.
FUSION INTEGRATION
Select any geometry in Fusion — edges, faces, sketches, bodies — and the measurements appear instantly in the Selection Values panel.
Click Use to insert any value directly into your expression.
X/Y/Z coordinates automatically fill the Vector Maths inputs.
ENGINEERING PANELS
- Triangle Solver — solve any triangle from 3 known values
- Circle Geometry — derive radius, diameter, area, circumference, arc length and sector area from any single input
- Beam Section Properties — second moment of area, section modulus and radius of gyration for 4 cross-section types
- Spring Calculator — rate, spring index and Wahl correction factor
- Bolt / Thread Data — metric M1 to M30 and UNC thread reference
- Polar / Rectangular and DMS / Decimal conversion
- Vector Maths — dot product, cross product, normalise, angle
- Unit Conversions — 12 categories including torque and power
HISTORY & MEMORY
Calculations are saved automatically. Edit expressions and add notes inline. Pin important entries, navigate with arrow keys, and export to CSV file.
CUSTOMISATION
Named variables, bookmarks, quick engineering constants, adjustable font size, light and dark themes, compact mode. All settings and data persist between Fusion sessions.
