Pencil 9This plug-in can be used with Autodesk® AutoCAD® to synchronize the Reference Name of an XREF with the actual file name of the reference file.

This plug-in allows you to synchronize the Reference Name displayed for an XREF with the actual filename of that reference drawing. This plug-in does not adjust the path, location, filename, or change the reference relationship as it is only working with the display name (Reference Name) for reference files. Run this plug-in via a script to process multiple drawings at once! An output log will report your results.
The installer is compatible with Autodesk® AutoCAD® 2013 to 2021 (including other vertical products).

Are there any known issues with this product?
If executed in a single drawing (not via a script), the XREF Reference Names may not reflect the update right away. The XREF's can either be reloaded, or the drawing saved, closed and re-opened to reflect the updated Reference Names.
