When modeling structural members, most of the time we are seeking an easier way to create braces, beams and slabs, as well as modifying them.

Fundamental creations of structural members in Autodesk® Revit® do not provide you with more accurate placements, or maybe most of the time you want these more automated. In addition, modification of these members, especially structural framings, can be painstaking and take too much time just in your modelling process.

Imagine creating slabs that are surrounded with beams with just one click of a mouse (after configuration) or cutting and merging them easily. Or even creating braces properly confined within the desired structural framings and/or columns. Or slicing columns that go all the way from the basement level to the topmost level or somewhere in between. Or making the slopes of the beams follow the slope along with two referenced beams (even if they are not of the same angles).
