BOM Assigner & Exporter is an Autodesk® AutoCAD® tool for quickly assigning Bills of Materials in 2D architectural drawings.

The Materials can include items such as Cable Trays, Water Pipes, Cable Buses, Ventilation Systems, and so on.

The plugin contains two commands: MD_MAIN and MD_CAD.

Using MD_MAIN User can create an .xml file with information about a system (for example, 1 meter of Cable Tray may contain 1 meter of Cover, 4 Clamps, and so on). After that, the user must draw polylines or lines in the same way, repeating the drawing system.

After that, the user assigns the .xml file to the lines/polylines using the MD_CAD command. The lengths of lines/polylines are summarized, and the user gets an Excel file with BOM to all systems, depending on the total length of the system.

The user can add materials, regardless of the total length of the system. These materials can be added manually, at the discretion of the user.
