Have you ever spent hours searching for how to report link length in section views, measure length and area from custom Autodesk® AutoCAD® polylines or export detailed section view quantity to Excel ?
This app is designed to add such features for Autodesk® Civil 3D®.
Further more, App now contains some .NET custom subAssemblies to cover some complicated, irregular case in section view design.
Main features:
- Calculate length and area from AutoCAD objects for each section view.
- Calculate length from Civil 3D corridor points, links, and area from corridor shape and between surfaces.
- Create section view material quantity tables from AutoCAD tables, which are editable and exportable to Excel.
- For each quantity item, the user can set a formula with 4 basic math operators: + - x /.
- Quantity table templates including formulas can be saved and reused.
- Custom subassembly Stripping Benching: Create stripping with/without benching, stripping in part-cut part-fill condition, corridor feature lines and corridor surface can be used as target objects
- Custom subassembly Daylight Bench QuarterCone: Create multi bench daylight with variable cut / fill slopes and bench width. Slopes and Bench width may vary linearly from region start station to region end station. Step order can be reversed and last step height may larger than normal.
Additional Features:
- Convert polylines in section view to TIN surface or polyline 3D in plan (since V1.2.0)
- Export Civil 3D table(s) content directly to Excel (since V1.1.5)
- Non-destructive explode any Civil 3D objects (Section views, profile views, corridors...) to AutoCAD objects while preserving the Civil 3D objects.
- Extract polylines from corridor section's link based on link code
- Extract polylines from corridor section's shape based on shape code
- Label points, links, and shape codes directly onto corridor sections in selected section views.
- Support both Metric and Imperial section views.
- Automatically add sample lines, and station values as corridor additional stations to improve accuracy.
- Data Shortcut alignment is supported.
- App dialog is translated into 8 languages.
Notes:
1. Users can run this app with:
(a) A simple signing-in parent Autodesk application with a valid Autodesk ID that did the purchase. In this way, the user can run this app from any computer, provided that an internet connection is available; or
(b) An offline license file that is physical computer hardware dependent. After purchasing, please run this app, open the About... panel, and manually copy & send your registration info to the NTCL support email NTCLApp1@gmail.com. For more details, please refer to the License Registration Guide. While waiting for an offline license file, this app still runs with full functions.
2. The 30-day Trial requires signing in to the parent Autodesk application with a valid Autodesk ID that did the download. No offline license is provided for the Trial version.
3. For purchasing a volume of 50 or more licenses, if all PCs work in the same local domain network, a specific domain-based license may be distributed instead of an individual license if required and such a domain-based license is technically feasible.
4. Users will get a message if this app package is launched from a virtual machine. The app launched from a virtual machine will be limited in features.
Daylight Bench QuarterCone V3: Improving original DaylightBench. All features of V2 is kept, new features are added.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What else should I know about this product?
Remarks:
1. Custom Quantity tables created by this app are static AutoCAD tables. Users need to manually update when making changes to Civil 3D drawings.
2. Do not confuse section view material tables with section view total volume tables. The latter is not supported by this app.
3. Material Lists that contain 2 or more materials are not supported. They will be automatically divided/split into multi-single Material lists, which contain only one Material.
4. Custom subAssemblies also need a valid license to run properly. License for all custom subAssemblies is checked once during drawing start.
5. Stripping Benching custom subassembly can select: (1) design surface as Target surface, (2) design feature lines as Target width offset objects. These design target objects must be declared in Properties palette (Ctrl+1). Sometimes, Corridor needs building twice for this subassembly to take effect. The first build is for creating target objects (daylight, datum, auto corridor feature lines…), the second build is for creating stripping benching subassembly
6. Sometimes, the table content export to Excel may not precisely match the Civil 3D table. The most common errors are: blank cell is filled with nearby value; value is placed in wrong column due to non-uniform text alignment.
7. Corridor(s) build from a feature line baseline are not supported. Only alignment-based corridor(s) are supported.
8. Civil 3D 2022 need upgrading to at least version 2022.1 to run this App.
9. For Civil 3D 2026, the ribbon may somtimes disappear after update. Just restart Civil 3D for the ribbon to show properly.
