An Autodesk® Navisworks® plugin that can automate the process of creating reports and consumable dashboards. By logging and documenting issues, we can significantly reduce the time and effort required to complete the QA/QC process. The tool can flag high-priority issues and generate reports that provide stakeholders with updates on the health of the construction project. This will help to streamline the QA/QC process, reduce the risk of delays and cost overruns, and ultimately save time and money.

Plugin Purpose:

The Viewpoint To PDF plugin allows users to generate a structured PDF report from saved viewpoints in a Navisworks model. It enables issue tracking directly within saved viewpoints and provides a streamlined way to document and share key perspectives of a project.

Key Features:

1. Log Issue Data
   1. Users can add or update issue-related data tied to each saved viewpoint.
   2. This includes descriptions and two custom fields.
   3. This metadata is stored alongside the viewpoint in the comments and reflected in the PDF report.
      
      
2. Custom Settings
   1. Users can apply custom Settings to report for the issue saved viewpoints.
   2. Properties such as text box outline colour and thickness, text color, and text background colour for the issue data fields.
   3. Image quality can also be set for Saved Viewpoints.
      
      
3. Load Template and Define Markups
   1. Users can load a local PDF-format template and define markups in the template.
      
      
4. Select Viewpoints to Include in Report
   1. Easily browse and select from the list of saved viewpoints within the Navisworks project.
   2. Multi-select supported: choose one, some, or all viewpoints for inclusion in the report as well as a plan view.
   3. The plan view can be previewed with the issue's saved point location plotted, which will be reflected in the report as well if added.
      
      
5. Generate PDF Report
   1. The selected viewpoints are compiled into a structured PDF.
   2. Each entry includes:
      1. A snapshot image of the viewpoint.
      2. Associated issue data (if any).
      3. Viewpoint name and timestamp.
      4. Legends for issue data fields.
   3. The report can be saved locally or shared with the project team.
      
      
6. View Statistics
   1. Users can see statistics based on issue data
