TL Cogo Points Renumber 2025

Renumbers fragmented cogo points inside a point group to eliminate gaps in point numbers. An end result is a point group with sequential numbers.

Quite often during the design process cogo points are added, then some get deleted, others get added again and then some more get deleted again.

This results in fragmented point numbers in the cogo point tables.

Renumbering hundreds or even thousands of cogo points becomes a tedious task that often involves manually exporting the points, editing the file in Excel, and reimporting the new list back into Autodesk® Civil 3D®.

This app addresses this issue by providing a native command to renumber cogo points inside Civil 3D.

Note: This app uses a custom installer (and not the standard App Store installer).

Are there any known issues with this product?

In certain cases, the program may terminate if it detects a duplicate point number leaving you with only a partially renumbered point group. To avoid this always make sure there are no other points with numbers falling inside the point number range you intend to use. For example, if you have a point group containing point 3 and another point group containing number 2,4,6,8 and you're renumbering the points in this second group the app will rename the first two points - 2->1, 4->2 but will not renumber pt 6 to 3 because such a point already exists and Civil 3D does not allow duplicate cogo point numbers.
