AutoLists is a powerful productivity add-in designed for Autodesk® Revit® that automates the generation of component detail views.
The add-in creates/updates a dedicated sheet for every family type that is marked for inclusion in a regular Revit schedule. The sheet includes a title block, 3 views (plan, elevation and cut views) and a tag to display family type information. The title block, tag and view locations on the sheet may all be customized by the user according to his/her preferences.
The object of interest is automatically isolated in the detail views. For each type, the add-in automatically counts the number of instances in every project-phase and sets/updates the sheet's Quantity parameter. The following object categories are supported: Doors, Windows, Generic Models, Furniture, Casework, Railings, Curtain Walls. AutoLists supports objects in linked documents.
Once the sheets are created, the user may make manual adjustments such as adding annotations and dimensions, and changing crop regions. These changes are preserved if the command is executed again.
The user may also reposition the views on the sheet, change the title block and/or tag, and select a custom view template. These changes may be saved for future runs (and in future projects) and may be applied on all the other sheets.
The add-in eliminates hours of repetitive drafting work by automatically processing model elements across project phases, placing views on designated sheets, and preserving manual user overrides for existing view layouts.
