HMK Tools for Autodesk® AutoCAD® & Autodesk® Civil 3D® puts an AI assistant to work on the drawing you already have open - not on an export, not on a copy.

Two ways to use it. Pilot Chat is a dockable panel inside AutoCAD and Civil 3D: ask a question or describe a change in plain language and the assistant carries it out in the drawing. Or connect an external assistant - Claude, ChatGPT, Cursor or Antigravity - through a secure local Model Context Protocol (MCP) server, and drive the drawing from there. Connecting takes one click; there is no configuration file to hand-edit and nothing else to install.

In AutoCAD the assistant can create and edit geometry, manage layers, insert blocks and read or write their attributes, work with text and dimensions, set up layouts and viewports, plot to PDF and export DWG. In Civil 3D it also handles alignments, profiles and profile views, sample lines and sample line groups, TIN and volume surfaces with their breaklines, boundaries and contours, corridors and assemblies, feature lines, pipe networks, and station/offset conversions. Civil 3D tools appear automatically when Civil 3D is the running host and stay out of the way in plain AutoCAD.

Dynamo, driven by AI. The assistant can read the graph you have open, search the node library, add and wire nodes, run the graph and read the computed values and warnings back - useful both for building a script from a description and for working out why an existing one is failing.

Built for the way you actually work. Every modifying action runs inside a single transaction, so your normal UNDO reverses it in one step. You choose which tools the assistant is allowed to use, and the two code-execution tools can be switched off entirely. The server binds to localhost only, so nothing outside your machine can reach it.

Everything runs locally. Your drawings are never uploaded to HMK Tools. If you use the in-app chat you bring your own AI provider key, and that conversation goes directly from your machine to the provider you chose - we never see it, proxy it or store it.
