Help / Usage Instructions

  1. Launch the version of Revit you wish to upgrade your files to (e.g., Revit 2025).
  2. Navigate to the Add-ins tab and click the FileUpgrader icon.
  3. Select Source: Choose older .rvt or .rfa files from the folder.
  4. Filter Files: Use the Select column checkboxes to include or exclude files from the list.
  5. Review Versions: Check the Old Version column to see the original version of your files.
  6. Select Destination: Choose the output folder for the upgraded files. Or check the “Overwrite Existing File” checkbox. Please keep in mind that upgrading is not reversible. If you overwrite existing files, you cannot downgrade the file version.
  7. Start Process: Click the "Start Upgrade Process" button.
  8. Monitor Results: View the Status and Result columns for real-time feedback on each file.
