RayCAD automates HVAC tag placement in Revit.
What it does
Places tags for ducts, duct fitting, duct accessories, mechanical equipments, flex ducts, and air terminals, both native Revit and fabrication elements on HVAC floor plans and shop floor drawings. Tags are arranged automatically to avoid overlap and stay readable, following your firm's drafting standards.

The problem it solves
Manual tagging takes 8-10 hours per sheet on a typical HVAC project. Every coordination round forces re-checking and re-placing tags as the model changes. Revit's built-in "Tag All Not Tagged" places tags with no overlap awareness, so the output still needs hours of manual cleanup.

CURRENT SCOPE
- Floor plan views only (isometric, section, and cross-view tagging not yet supported).
- Duct, Duct Fitting, Duct Accessories, Mechanical Equipments, Flex Duct, and Air Terminal elements only (native and fabrication).
- More element types and view types are on the roadmap.
ADDITIONAL FEATURES
- Duct Auto Cut: set a default length, select one or more large ducts, and RayCAD splits them into segments of that length automatically.
- Parameter Copy-Paste: copy a parameter value from one element and apply it to any shared parameter across multiple selected elements, speeds up manual tagging work.
- Align Tool: Quickly align selected HVAC elements and their tags to keep drawings clean, consistent, and easy to read.
