SivaTools - Plaster Modeling & Takeoff

Yalpoarchitects - Sivatools

Model interior and exterior plaster as native Autodesk® Revit® geometry and measure it by room or item, with the opening-deduction rule selectable per market. CSV and native Revit schedules.

Trial

SivaTools models plaster inside Revit and calculates the quantity from the geometry it creates. It turns room boundaries, walls, columns, beams, ceilings, doors and windows into coordinated plaster elements that can be inspected in plans, sections, schedules and quantity reports.

MODEL REAL PLASTER GEOMETRY

  • Generate interior wall and column plaster from placed Revit Rooms.
  • Generate exterior wall plaster and plaster on exposed facade column faces.
  • Create ceiling plaster, beam-side plaster and beam-soffit plaster where supported.
  • Optionally model door and window reveals as jamb, head and sill elements.
  • Re-run generation safely: SivaTools replaces its previous elements instead of silently duplicating them.

EXCLUDE SURFACES THAT SHOULD NOT BE PLASTERED

  • Door and window openings are deducted from the generated surfaces.
  • Glazed curtain walls and structural steel columns are excluded automatically.
  • Unsupported or ambiguous conditions are reported with a reason instead of being silently included.

SELECT THE MEASUREMENT RULE FOR YOUR MARKET

Countries do not deduct openings the same way, and the difference is not small. Because SivaTools records every opening individually, it reports the physical quantity and the billable quantity from the same run, together with the difference between them.

  • Turkey (default): every opening is deducted.
  • Structured according to RICS NRM2: openings up to 1.00 m2 are not deducted; an opening at the edge of a surface is deducted.
  • Structured according to DIN 18350 (VOB/C): openings up to 2.50 m2 are not deducted.
  • Custom: enter your own threshold, partial-deduction band and edge rule.

The report and the CSV print the rule name, the referenced clause, the threshold, the count and area of openings that were not deducted, and the physical-to-billable difference. On a 22-room reference model, the same geometry produced a billable area 10.9 percent larger under DIN 18350 than under the Turkish rule.

CREATE AN AUDITABLE QUANTITY TAKEOFF

  • Review length, height, gross area, net area, opening-reveal area, plaster area and volume for every generated element.
  • Group quantities by room or by item/type.
  • Use the same calculation source for the on-screen report, CSV export and native Revit schedule.
  • Create a native Revit schedule and place it on a selected sheet.
  • Add interior and exterior dimensions that remain associated with the Revit model.

CONTROL THE RESULT

  • Configure plaster thicknesses, type names, item codes, reveal rules, measurement rule and output language.
  • Use the interface and reports in English, Turkish or Spanish.
  • Keep project data local. Revit models, file paths, room data and quantities are not uploaded; the internet connection is used only for license validation.

TRIAL AND LICENSING

The Autodesk App Store edition includes a fully functional 15-day trial. No payment method and no sign-up are required to install or to start the trial: open Plaster > License and press Start the 15-day trial. Every command is available for those 15 days. The trial can be started once per computer. After it ends, open Plaster > License and select Buy a license to purchase a monthly or annual subscription from the SivaTools website. One named-user license can be activated on up to two Windows devices.

REQUIREMENTS

Autodesk Revit 2024, 2025, 2026 or 2027 (64-bit); Windows 10 or Windows 11. Separate binaries for each supported Revit release are included in the package.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

- Supported hosts: Autodesk Revit 2024, 2025, 2026 and 2027, 64-bit, on Windows.

- Languages: English, Turkish and Spanish for interface, reports and schedules.

- Measurement rules: SivaTools can be configured according to the opening-deduction provisions of RICS NRM2 and DIN 18350 (VOB/C), and ships a Turkish default and a fully user-defined Custom profile. The standards themselves are not reproduced or redistributed in the product; each rule is implemented as numeric parameters and cited by clause number. SivaTools is not certified against any standard, and licensing the standard texts remains the responsibility of the user. Where a contract reads a clause differently, use the Custom profile.

- Trial: Fully functional for 15 days. After the trial, purchase and activation are handled through the SivaTools license window and website.

- License: One named user, up to two activated Windows devices. An internet connection is required for initial activation and periodic validation; a successfully validated installation supports limited offline use.

- Privacy: Revit models, project names, file paths, room data and quantity information are processed locally and are not uploaded. Privacy notice: https://sivatools.app/privacy.html

- Placed Rooms are required. For beam plaster, the Room upper limit must reach the beam soffit.

- Walls and columns in linked models are not plastered; sources must be in the host model.

- Sloped and curved beams are not supported and are reported as such.

- On curved walls, offset geometry is approximate and corner trimming may need review.

- A glass wall modeled as a Basic Wall is treated as a wall; use a Curtain Wall type to exclude it automatically.

- Ceiling plaster is generated under suspended ceilings; the finish schedule is not inferred, so remove it where not required.

- A top- or base-attached source wall cannot always pass its attachment on; attach the plaster manually where required.

- Where a door or window family carries no rough-opening parameters, the nominal size is used for the threshold test.

- Two DIN 18350 provisions are out of scope and say so in the report. Under NRM2, reveals are measured as area; disable them if your contract deems that labour included.

When reporting a technical issue, include your Revit version, SivaTools version, the steps that reproduce the issue, and the local SivaTools log when available. The log remains on your computer until you choose to send it and does not contain your license key or Revit model content.

For a question about a quantity, also include which measurement rule was selected and the rule block printed at the end of the report or CSV.
