Aibuild for Autodesk® Fusion®

Aibuild bridges Fusion to the Aibuild platform, enabling AI-powered CAD automation through a conversational interface. Instead of navigating menus and dialogs manually, describe what you want in plain language and an AI agent executes it directly inside your running Fusion session.

How does it work?

The add-in runs a lightweight local bridge server inside Fusion. Once activated, the Aibuild platform can send Python scripts to Fusion for execution, capture viewport screenshots, and read model state — all in real time. The bridge handles thread-safe execution on Fusion's main UI thread, so operations are reliable and non-blocking.

What can you do?

• Create and modify 3D geometry — sketches, extrusions, fillets, chamfers, and more
• Apply materials and appearances to bodies and faces
• Export models to STL, STEP, OBJ, and other formats
• Automate repetitive modeling workflows
• Capture viewport screenshots for review and iteration
• Query model properties — dimensions, mass, volume, component structure

Getting started

1. Install the add-in from the Autodesk App Store
2. The add-in loads automatically when Fusion starts
3. Sign in to Aibuild at ai-build.com
4. Select Fusion as your environment and start a conversation
5. Describe what you want to build — the AI agent handles the rest
