The add-in is designed to help users identify and remove duplicated materials in an Autodesk® Revit® file.

It can be a time-consuming task for users to identify and remove duplicate materials, this Revit add-on offers users an automated way to identify and remove them.

Two or more materials are considered duplicated when they share the same name in the Revit file.

To determine if any duplicate exists, the tool scans through all the materials found in the Revit file using the Revit API. if duplicates are found, the user is notified by the add-in and given an option to remove them. The tool will not delete duplicated materials if they are used in any active components found in the Revit file.

Currently, the tool can only process materials and appearance assets, it will not process physical or thermal assets.
