ORIS Materials Intelligence

Easy carbon assessments for infrastructure projects, directly in Autodesk® Civil 3D®: Bring sustainability to the table. Without losing productivity using your favorite tools.

Trial

Get fast, dynamic, and easy carbon assessments for infrastructure projects directly in Autodesk® Civil 3D®.

Reduce the carbon impact of your project by quickly identifying carbon hotspots in the early stages. Perfect for:

  • Civil engineers running carbon assessments as part of design deliverables in Civil 3D
  • BIM managers looking to reduce setup time and methodology errors across projects
  • Technical directors standardizing carbon assessments across teams without adding overhead

How it works

  • Open a Civil 3D model for a linear infrastructure project (ORIS does not support building projects).
  • The plugin reads your entire model as built: solids, hatches, alignments, corridors, etc.
  • Select the elements you want to assess, for example, from Civil 3D's native quantity takeoff.
  • AI maps your model elements to suggested materials from ORIS' national material databases.
  • Link your design to local construction material sites or average distance estimates, linked operations, etc.
  • Get the associated carbon footprint for the construction phase of your project.
  • Stay in sync as you design: your carbon figures update automatically as you change the design.
