Model Medic is a practical model-health toolkit for Autodesk® Revit® that helps BIM teams review, clean, tune, and coordinate models using focused, easy-to-run utilities.

 

What’s inside

1) Model Check — team-friendly QA/QC
Workflow: BIM Manager sets thresholds → exports to the team → team imports, runs checks → returns report.
Outcome: consistent, fast QA/QC with clear pass/fail and an exportable .xlsx summary.

2) Link Trace — link status & coordinates
Reports whether links are using a Shared Site (shows both Host and Link labels), plus deltas for Project Base Point, Survey Point, and Internal Point—handy visibility for quick alignment checks.

3) Warnalyzer — fix famous warnings (not just list them)
Lists all warnings and lets you directly select involved elements. Includes one-click routines for:
• “Joined but do not intersect” → safely unjoins the pair
• Slightly off-axis elements/rotations → snaps back within tolerance
• “Identical instances in the same place” → removes duplicates (keeps one)
• Duplicate parameter values → built-in Duplicate Parameter Resolver to clean Type Mark/Mark conflicts in bulk

4) Model Mop — ultimate purge/tune tool (checkbox-selected)
Pick only what you need; nothing runs unless selected. Examples:
• Purging: unused families/styles/groups; empty worksets; remove CAD imports/links, unused images, filters, view templates, unused scope boxes
• Annotations & lines: remove empty tags/elevation tags; remove stray or all detail lines; remove stray or all masked/filled regions; remove all revision clouds; remove all model lines
• Views: remove unused views/drafting views/legends/schedules (preserves coordination/export views you keep)
• Other: explode detail/model/array groups; pin links; pin grids & levels and assign them to their work set; assign Revit and CAD Links to their own workset.

5) Grid Sync — grid alignment helper
Validates alignment of elements to grids, highlights near-misses using distance/angle tolerances you set and assists with alignment—logging what it changes for easy review.

6) Join Master — priority-based joins
Fast join/switch-join engine that processes in the category order you set (e.g., Walls → Floors → Framing), joining pairs and flipping cut direction where needed. Handles edge cases like items flagged as joined but not actually intersecting.

Model operations are performed locally inside Revit. No Revit model geometry or project content is uploaded. The app may contact an online manifest service for update and availability checks.
