ISETIA Companion integrates Autodesk® AutoCAD® with the ISETIA document management platform, providing a seamless workflow for teams working on engineering and architectural drawings.

The plugin adds an ISETIA palette directly inside AutoCAD, giving you instant access to your projects, documents, and collaboration tools without leaving the design environment.

Document Management:

Browse your ISETIA projects and folders directly from AutoCAD. Open documents for editing with a single click — the plugin automatically checks out the document, downloads it along with its references, and opens it in AutoCAD. When you're done, save your changes back to ISETIA as a new version or overwrite the current version. The plugin tracks unsaved changes and prompts you before closing a document that hasn't been uploaded.

External Reference (XRef) Management:

The XRefs tab detects all external references in your current drawing and compares them with references registered on the ISETIA server. You can see which XRefs are matched, which exist only locally, and which are only on the server. Sync XRef paths to match server locations, or attach new XRefs directly from your ISETIA project. When uploading a drawing, the plugin automatically detects unlinked XRefs and offers to upload and link them.

Title Block Metadata Sync:

The Metadata tab scans your drawing for title block attributes and lets you pull document metadata (title, number, revision, author, date, etc.) from ISETIA directly into the attribute fields. Edit values in the plugin and write them back to the drawing — keeping your title blocks consistent with your document management system.
