Database Archive Tool
CADLABDatabase Archive Tool
CADLABBack up your entire Autodesk® Fusion® cloud database to local disk in one click: native .f3d/.f3z archives with full timeline, drawings as PDF, mirrored folder tree, text index and live progress.
$2.99/month
Your designs live in the cloud. Your backups shouldn't have to.
Mass Exporter bulk-exports your Autodesk® Fusion® cloud data — the whole hub, a single project, or any folder — to your local disk, preserving everything that matters.
FULL-FIDELITY EXPORT
Every Fusion design is saved as a native .f3d archive (.f3z when it uses external references, with the linked designs packed inside). This is the same format Fusion itself uses: the complete timeline, features, sketches, parameters, configurations and components are preserved. Re-open any exported file in Fusion and keep working exactly where you left off — or import it into most major CAD packages.
EVERYTHING ELSE COMES TOO
2D drawings (.f2d) are printed to PDF exactly as they are — a faithful record of every sheet, title block and dimension.
Non-Fusion files stored in your projects (STEP, PDF, images, spreadsheets...) are downloaded as-is, byte for byte.
The export reproduces your hub / project / folder hierarchy exactly. A plain-text index (_EXPORT_INDEX.txt) is written at the root of every export: what was exported, the complete file tree with sizes, what was skipped and why, and how the folders are organized.
SMART RE-RUNS (INCREMENTAL BACKUP)
Every exported file is tagged with its cloud version number. Run the export again next month: files already on disk are skipped in seconds, and only new versions are fetched — they land next to the old ones, so you build a version history on your own drive for free.
STAY IN CONTROL
Pick the scope: entire hub, one project, or any sub-folder.
Pick the destination folder.
Count files and folders before you start.
Watch live progress: current file, data written, estimated total size and estimated time remaining.
Cancel anytime — everything already exported stays valid, and the index reports the partial state.
WHY YOU NEED THIS
Subscription lapses, account issues, internet outages, or simply the peace of mind of owning your own work: a local, native-format backup of your Fusion data is the insurance every professional workshop and serious hobbyist should have. Set it running, grab a coffee, own your data.
NOTES
Designs are exported by opening each document and using Fusion's own archive exporter — this is the only way to preserve the timeline, so large databases take time. The live time-remaining estimate keeps you informed, and incremental re-runs are fast.
The Fusion cloud API does not expose file sizes, so the total size is estimated live during the export rather than beforehand.
PDF is a printout of the drawing; it is not re-importable as an editable drawing.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)
What else should I know about this product?
Scheduled automatic backups (run the export on a timer, unattended).
Additional export formats alongside the native archive: STEP, STL and 3MF batch export per design.
Filter by date: export only files modified since a given date.
One-click ZIP packaging of the finished backup.
Designs are exported through Fusion's own archive exporter to guarantee full fidelity (timeline, features, sketches, parameters). Each document is opened invisibly in the background; 2D drawings open briefly on screen (a Fusion API requirement) and close automatically.
The add-in never writes to your cloud data: it is strictly read-only on the Fusion side. Documents are closed without saving.
Fusion Team hubs with multiple members: you can export any project your account can read.
Requires an active internet connection (files are fetched from the Fusion cloud) and enough local disk space for the export.
Export of drawings to DXF in addition to PDF.
macOS support.

Please include your Fusion version and the _EXPORT_INDEX.txt file (it lists any export errors) when reporting an issue — it makes diagnosis much faster.
