Note: This Autodesk® AutoCAD® Plant 3D™ plugin is part of the P&ID Connector workflow and requires the Autodesk® Revit® - Addon P&ID Connector - Importer, to be able to use the entire workflow.

The P&ID Connector workflow is specifically designed for the seamless integration of Autodesk® AutoCAD® or AutoCAD Plant 3D and Revit in the industrial process industry. This enables engineers and designers to bridge the gap between 2D schematic drawings in AutoCAD or AutoCAD Plant 3D and 3D objects in Revit by transferring parameter content from the 2D object to a 3D object.

To achieve this, the P&ID Connector - Exporter exports P&ID symbols (assets) with their position data, P&ID properties and image files to an interface file.

The user can freely select the storage location, the exported interface file can then be used to transfer the data to Revit using the P&ID Connector - Importer.
