Extra Shortcuts allows you to assign keyboard shortcuts to actions in Fusion that normally do not allow a shortcut to be assigned. This is achieved by displaying a menu with the commands, where the ⋮ button is available for each command.

Extra Shortcuts is primarily intended to extend the set of commands available in Axalea Toolbar & Shortcuts Editor.

Supported commands:

  • Switch to different workspace
  • View top, right, etc
  • Rotate and roll model (45 degree steps)
  • Perspective view, Orthographic view
  • Go Home ("Home view")
  • Set Home ("Home view")
  • Selection Filters: Select All
  • Show/Hide Layout Grid
  • Toggle Snap to Grid
  • Toggle Incremental Move
  • Look At in design and Sketch mode ("Look At (Universal)")
  • Move Timeline forwards/backwards
  • Activate Selected (activates the selected component or the component to which the selected object belongs)
  • Activate Root Component
  • Toggle Activate Root Component and selected
  • Toggle Isolate/Unisolate
  • Show/Hide User Work Planes
  • Reopen Last Closed Document (Can be used repeatedly)

  • There have been spurious reports for other add-ins that keyboard shortcuts get reset. If that happens to you, please detail what keyboard shortcut was assigned to what command. Also describe when it happened and what happened after you restarted Fusion after the event.
  • Sometimes after restarting Fusion, an assigned shortcut will not show next to the command in the menu. The shortcut is still there, however, which can be verified by clicking ⋮ or inspecting the command in Toolbar & Shortcuts Editor.
  • It is not possible to switch to or from the Drawing workspace using shortcuts. This workspace behaves very differently from the others. The user interface has no "workspace switcher button" when this workspace is active.
