BIMcollab® Document Sync

BIMcollabBIMcollab® Document Sync provides a semi-automatic synchronization of documents and models from Autodesk® Docs® to BIMcollab®
Free
Building projects generate an increasing amount of documentation. Contracts, reports, models and supporting files are often stored across multiple platforms, making it difficult to maintain a clear overview and ensure that project teams always work with the right information. Switching between systems costs time, increases the risk of errors, and disrupts collaboration.
With BIMcollab® Document Sync, you can seamlessly connect your Autodesk® Docs® environment to BIMcollab. This integration enables you to fetch project documents directly from your Autodesk account and upload them to the Document management functionality within BIMcollab.
By centralizing your documents in BIMcollab, your team gains direct access to the files alongside issues, models, and project communication — all within one coordinated environment. Supported model files (currently IFC and IFCzip, with Autodesk® Revit® files coming soon) can also be viewed directly in the BIMcollab WebViewer, improving transparency and accessibility for all stakeholders.
Reduce platform switching, improve document accessibility, and keep your project information connected and aligned within BIMcollab.
Authentication
BIMcollab® Document Sync uses Autodesk’s 3-legged OAuth authentication for all communications with Autodesk Platform Services. During the initial integration setup, the user grants consent, after which the access token and refresh token are securely stored on BIMcollab servers. These tokens allow BIMcollab to retrieve project data on behalf of the user without requiring repeated logins. All stored tokens are automatically removed upon disconnection of the integration or after they expire.
