The ADA Compliance Checker is an add-in tool designed for Autodesk® Revit® to assist users in evaluating their designs against the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) standards.
This tool allows users to quickly check elements within their Revit models for compliance with 2010 ADA requirements, ensuring accessibility and usability for individuals with disabilities.
For instance, if you want to check Door width rules 4.03, you can select to run the check on a single level or all levels to identify issues. You can filter the results by Categories: Type, Status, Rule

Are there any known issues with this product?
Toilets:
- For accurate checks, the toilet must be designed as a room. Otherwise mirror will not be checked for ADA compliance
- For the ADA maneuvering check, a toilet seat must have a grab bar(s) near it
- The toilet seat must be categorized as a Plumbing Fixture, and must contain the word “toilet” in its name or its family name
- Mirror must be designed as a Specialty Equipment and must contain the word “mirror” in its name or family name
Doors
- Door containing these keywords in the name for family name will not be considered "balcony", "mechanical", "closet", "storage"
- For accurate checking of operable parts ( like door knob ), Strike Height property must be present in the door properties
Ramps:
- Only Revit-generated ramps are supported. Ramps loaded as ga eneric family will not be considered.
