This program is a set of Autolisp routines that provide an easy way to change the layer of the selected object or the name of the selected block or Xref.

The program asks for a new name in the dialog window. In the dialog window program paste the old name in case the user wants,  for example, to set a similar name but with a different suffix or prefix.
