Toolpath is the first and only AI-powered Estimation and CAM Automation solution for shop owners, estimators, planners, and CNC programmers who want a practical solution to help them evaluate and respond to new machining jobs more quickly and confidently.
Toolpath - An essential tool for every business that machines parts
Being competitive sometimes means you need to reject RFQs. Reducing the time it takes to determine which jobs to quote and which to reject is critical. This is typically a time-consuming job, especially for CNC programmers when turnaround times for quotes are short and the need for accuracy is critical. Toolpath completely automates everything from the Design for Machining analysis, machine plan creation, and the estimation of machining costs. Best of all, if you decide to quote the job, and you win the work, you can use the machining plan, predetermined setups, and predefined machining operations to dramatically reduce the amount of time it takes to generate quality CNC programs and start cutting parts.
Toolpath is the first and only solution that does this. Here’s how.
- When you receive an RFQ, simply email or open a browser and upload the part (STEP) files to Toolpath. You can also push the files up directly from Autodesk® Fusion®.
- Toolpath analyzes each part and develops a complete machining plan with the optimal number of setups and the most efficient series of toolpath operations, all based on your tools - the tools in your machine(s), the tools in your holders, and the tools in your tool crib.
- Once each part has been analyzed you will receive an email with a link to a report that provides you with a) a machinability score - think of this as your go-no-go gage for quoting the job, b) the machining plan - think of this as a setup sheet for CNC programmers, c) a complete tool list, d) a material list, and e) a machining cost estimate broken down by setup, operation, and tool.
The best part, you haven’t had to spend one minute evaluating the job. You haven’t had to interrupt your estimators or CNC programmers. And, if you have Fusion, it gets even better. Once you open Toolpath and select your part, you are one button-click away from sending your setups and operations to Fusion where you can quickly edit toolpath parameters or just post each operation and send them to the shop floor to be run as soon as the machine(s) are available.
The Bottom Line: Toolpath equips you to be more responsive to your customers, prospects, and other stakeholders by helping you estimate and generate CNC programs more quickly and confidently.
