Content OriginBuild a view template for all Fabrication services in an Autodesk® Revit® project.
Free
MEP designers using Fabrication parts in Autodesk® Revit® often need to colorize the model per service for easy coordination and checking the quality or progress of the design. Creating the view filter rules and overrides for each service takes a lot of time and effort while potentially introducing more errors.
This add-in provides a fast and easy tool for building filters, overrides, and a view template for all Fabrication services loaded in the current project.
- With a single click, build hundreds of filters and a view template in under one second. Filter rules are generated for each service and applied to the common MEP Fabrication categories. The new service filters are added to the current view, each with a solid color override. Finally, the current view is saved into a new view template.
- Reduce or eliminate errors in the view filters. Nothing gets missed. All services in the project are added, even the ones that haven’t been modeled yet. The names of the service filters may be altered to replace characters that are illegal in Revit’s interface. If the service already has a filter of the same name, it does not get duplicated.
- Apply the same colors to multiple views using the created view template. The view template settings can be altered to your standards after creation.
- Instantly update the view template when new services are added. Existing settings will not be overridden when new service filters are added with this tool.
