Key features:

  • Highlights selected Rooms, Areas, Spaces, Zones and System-Zones in 3D.
  • Highlighting doesn't generate temporary elements in the model, so it's realtime even if hundreds of rooms are selected.
  • Uses uniform colors or Autodesk® Revit® color schemes (supported in 2021 only).
  • Temporarily fades the model to improve highlight visibility.
  • Automatically updates the displayed rooms list and the highlights when the user modifies the model (room geometry or parameters).
  • Generates Mass elements for the spatial elements, copies the room name to a custom parameter of the Mass.

Frequently asked questions (FAQs)

  • The Zoom command switches to a floor plan if there's an open one.
    If there's no open floor plan, it zooms to the selected elements in the 3D view. This is a known Autodesk® Revit® API issue.
  • The selection is not visible in the model if a dock panel is active.
    The user must activate the view (eg. by clicking in the view with the middle button) to make the selection visible. This is a known Revit API issue.
  • MepSystemZones don't have geometry in some cases, as the document's active view is null.
