Simbi Rebar

SIMBI REBAR (PTY) LTD

Automated reinforced-concrete rebar detailing and bar bending schedules in Autodesk® Revit®, built to SANS 10100, SANS 10144 and SANS 51992 / EN 1992-1-1

Trial

Simbi Rebar automates reinforced-concrete rebar detailing and bar bending schedule (BBS) generation directly inside Autodesk® Revit®. It places code-compliant reinforcement on your structural elements and produces a ready-to-issue bar bending schedule — removing the manual, error-prone detailing work that normally sits between a Revit model and a fabrication drawing.

Supported elements:
• Foundations — pad, strip, and pile-cap
• Columns — rectangular and circular
• Walls — shear, retaining, and single-layer
• Beams
• Batch propagation across multiple elements by filter
• Reinforcement density reporting
• Bar bending schedule generation

Standards: reinforcement and detailing follow SANS 10100-1, SANS 10144:2010, and SANS 51992-1 / EN 1992-1-1, including correct anchorage and lap lengths, bar shape codes, and cutting lengths.

Built for South African structural engineering practices doing RC detailing in Revit. Runs on Revit 2024–2027.

This is a fully functional 7-day trial — every feature unlocked, no payment card required. After 7 days a licence is required to continue, available at https://simbi-rebar.com/shop/. Support: support@simbi-rebar.com.

Support for Simbi Rebar is provided directly by Simbi Rebar (Pty) Ltd.

Email: support@simbi-rebar.com — we aim to respond within one business day (Monday to Friday, 08:00–17:00 SAST / GMT+2).

When reporting an issue, please include: your Revit version, your Simbi Rebar version number (shown in the About dialog), a description of the element and settings involved, and — where possible — a screenshot or the exported bar bending schedule. This lets us reproduce the problem quickly. The add-in also includes a Report Issue button on the Help panel that packages the relevant diagnostics and opens a pre-filled support email for you.

Documentation, installation guides, a standards-and-methodology reference, and step-by-step video tutorials covering each element type and the bar bending schedule workflow are available at https://simbi-rebar.com/guides-tutorials/. Most common questions — installation, licensing, activation, and detailing settings — are answered there.

Licensing and account queries (activation, transferring your licence to a new machine, or multi-seat enquiries for teams) are also handled at info@simbi-rebar.com. Simbi Rebar is offered on an annual subscription with a free trial so you can evaluate it on a real project before purchasing.

We read and act on every support message, and feedback directly shapes the product roadmap.
